Karat 34
Our art consultancy for Karat 34 focused on creating a site-specific collection designed exclusively for the interior spaces. The project involved the production of both sculptures and paintings, establishing a visual layer that harmonized with the building’s contemporary architecture while enriching the user experience. Each piece was conceived to reflect the modern, dynamic, and urban spirit of Karat 34—designed not merely as decorative elements, but as lasting artistic encounters that shape the atmosphere and subtly engage with the rhythm of daily life.
The sculptures, positioned within the interior, were envisioned as guiding and focal elements that follow the architectural flow of the space. Each form was shaped by considering spatial dynamics such as light, volume, and circulation. Material choices, surface treatments, and scale were carefully curated to integrate seamlessly into their surroundings, functioning as both spatial markers and contemplative interruptions. The painting series, on the other hand, embraced an abstract and gestural language. Through the use of color, texture, and rhythm, they created visual narratives that resonate with the tone of the space—providing moments of mental clarity and visual ease within the work environment.
At ALAN Project, we believe that art is not only seen but lived—this project stands as a clear reflection of that philosophy at an architectural scale. The artworks became part of the architectural whole, gradually transforming into visual memory triggers that foster a quiet and personal connection with users. Rather than treating art as a mere visual accessory, we approached it as a tool to instill balance, rhythm, and meaning in space. The resulting collection at Karat 34 is a compelling example of ALAN Project’s interdisciplinary design vision and attention to detail.
