Embassy of Libya
Embassy of Libya
For the Embassy of Libya in Ankara, our 2021 art project involved the conceptualization, design, and production of outdoor sculptures that stand as a testament to the cultural dialogue between nations. The sculptures, placed thoughtfully on the embassy grounds, are a fusion of abstract form and symbolic representation, each conveying a narrative of heritage and diplomatic unity.
One sculpture, with its bold black form entwined with a vibrant red spiral, serves as a striking metaphor for the intertwining of history and progress. Another piece features circular motifs in the colors of the Libyan flag, symbolizing continuity and the nation’s enduring spirit. Additionally, the artwork incorporates calligraphic elements, rooting the installation in the rich artistic traditions of Libya.
These outdoor sculptures are not only decorative elements but also emblematic of the embassy’s role as a beacon of Libyan culture in Turkey. They enhance the embassy’s exterior, offering visitors and passersby a visual experience steeped in meaning and craftsmanship. Through these works, we have endeavored to create an environment that reflects the embassy’s prestigious presence and its commitment to cultural exchange.
