The spirit of Tarlabaşı is reimagined through the organic movement of nature.

Located in the lobby of Canopy Istanbul Taksim, Tree Abstraction is a dynamic sculpture that abstracts the lively and ever-changing urban fabric of Tarlabaşı through the branching and spreading form of a tree. Its fragmented, dynamic surfaces rise around the trunk and extend outward into the space, creating a strong visual focal point at the heart of the lobby.

The sculpture’s vibrant pink-red tones create a contemporary contrast with the warm wood, brick, and leather surfaces of the lobby, while its organic form moves in contrast with the architectural geometry of the space.

Istanbul’s street culture finds its way into the courtyard through one of the city’s most familiar inhabitants.

The cats, placed around the central rock formation in different poses and movements, reference Istanbul’s street cats and bring a warm, distinctive character to the sculpture. Set against the courtyard’s vibrant graffiti, colorful furniture, and lush vegetation, the work reinforces the energy of the public space and draws visitors into its social atmosphere. The cats are more than figures; they reflect the everyday, living culture of Istanbul.

Nature’s movement transforms into a sculptural flow within the space.

Inspired by the natural movement of branches and leaves, this installation creates a strong contrast with its surrounding architecture through its curving forms and red leaves spreading in different directions. Suspended leaves, enhanced by lighting, bring a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere to the space while introducing the ever-changing rhythm of nature. Here, the transient and constantly evolving movement of nature becomes a lasting rhythm.

The fluid movement of wine transforms into a frozen flow within the space.

Inspired by the movement of wine as it is poured and flows, Liquidity of Wine reinterprets the fluidity of the liquid and its flowing curves through abstract, organic forms. The glossy red forms extend in different directions and continue into one another, flowing downward through the stairwell and transforming the movement of wine into a spatial experience. Here, the flow of wine momentarily comes to a halt; fluid movement becomes a permanent form within the sculpture.
