Designed specifically for the Yapı Kredi Maçka Branch, the Intersections series reinterprets Istanbul’s urban fabric through color, geometry, and layered compositions.

The series draws on urban views from different parts of Istanbul, reconstructing them through geometric forms, intersecting planes, and blocks of color. Familiar city imagery is fragmented and layered to create a more abstract and personal interpretation of Istanbul, moving beyond the representation of a specific place.

In this series, the city is not simply a place to be seen, but a living layer shaped by movement, memory, and encounters.

Architectural structures, streets, densities, and urban voids are reorganized through lines and directions. This approach reflects Istanbul’s organic and constantly evolving character while giving each composition its own rhythm, depth, and visual identity.

The color palette brings the dynamic character of the series into the space while maintaining a balanced relationship with the branch’s contemporary and corporate atmosphere.

Blue, green, yellow, red, pink, and earthy tones are combined with neutral surfaces, allowing the artworks to stand out while remaining integrated with their surroundings. The varying intensity of color gives each work its own character while creating a cohesive visual language throughout the series.
